Abstract

Effective teachers perform their roles so that educational goals are attained. But to perform their duties and responsibilities for achieving desired goals, teachers also need to be aware of their own emotions and the emotions of people around them. They are required to manage themselves and have empathy and social skills. As these are the components of emotional intelligence, the researcher felt it would be pertinent to explore the relationship between teacher effectiveness and emotional intelligence. The present researcher wants to assess the role of emotional intelligence in teacher effectiveness and study the relationship between teacher effectiveness and emotional intelligence. The Method applied is descriptive research. The area covered is the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra.
