The derivatives market in India has experienced significant expansion during the past twenty years. Understanding investors' view, behaviour, and the influencing elements is crucial for grasping the long-term feelings of this market. This article aimed to analyze investor behaviour in the Indian derivatives market. Considering factors such as frequency of investing in derivatives, investor expertise in derivatives trading, trading strategy, profit gained, investment aim, investment percentage, perceived risk of the derivatives market, and the significance of the derivatives market in India. An analysis of investor behaviour features has been conducted based on demographic variations among Indian investors. A standardized questionnaire was given to 432 respondents for the study. The results show that investor behaviour in the derivatives market is influenced by demographic variables such as gender, age, nature of job, workplace activity, work experience, annual family income, and educational background
