Abstract

Affordable housing is a critical global challenge, impacting economic stability, social equity, and urban development. This study presents a systematic review and bibliometric analysis of research trends in affordable housing, identifying key themes, influential authors, and emerging research directions. Using bibliometric techniques, we analyze scholarly publications from major databases, examining citation networks, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic clusters. The findings highlight the dominant research areas, including policy interventions, financial models, sustainable housing solutions, and socio-economic impacts. Additionally, this study maps the evolution of affordable housing research, providing insights into gaps and future directions for policymakers, researchers, and urban planners. The results contribute to a deeper understanding of how affordable housing has been addressed in academic literature of seminal article, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary approaches to address housing affordability challenges effectively.
